The sacrificial lamb

The sacrificial lamb
accrues a certain
amount of honor
from the flock
and achieves
a sort of
bureaucratic
immortality.

Those who are
dragged,
kicking
and
screaming,
to the slaughter have
a most ignoble
and forgotten
end.
