Fragments 7/8/13

walking up the hill from the Brookland Metro Station,
crossing the street and entering the engineering building,
these words wafted past me like a southern breeze:

“Pray for Egypt.  
Umm al Dunya, we pray for thee.
God Almighty, hear our prayer.”
